The SAF-C515C-8EM is a 8-bit single-chip microcontroller. The device provides two basic power saving modes, the idle mode and the power down mode. Additionally, a slow down mode is available. The SAF-C515C-8EM reduces the internal clock rate in normal operating mode and it can be also used for further power reduction in idle mode.

SAF-C515C-8EM features: (1)Full upward compatibility with SAB 80C515A; (2)On-chip program memory (with optional memory protection); (3)256 bytes on-chip RAM; (4)2 Kbytes of on-chip XRAM; (5)Up to 64 Kbytes external data memory; (6)Superset of the 8051 architecture with 8 datapointers; (7)Up to 10 MHz external operating frequency (1 μs instruction cycle time at 6 MHz external clock); (8)On-chip emulation support logic (Enhanced Hooks Technology); (9)Current optimized oscillator circuit and EMI optimized design.
